This is the story of how we found Sea Orchard Retreat in the Cayman Islands.

People looking for a property usually think about it for some time. They spend hours doing searches that fit all or most of their desired criteria. They visit different properties to have something to compare them to. The whole process can take months.

That’s not how we found our special resort. It was formerly called Cotton Tree, and had been run as a 5 Star Hotel. It was reasonably well-known in Cayman and to visitors. Those details are not really the criteria we would have looked for in a property. Quite the opposite in fact, as that would put a lot of pressure on us, and people would have high expectations.
